Explore Eclipse as
a universal platform for anything and everything related to
software development and beyond. This workshop includes a deep
dive into some of the feature rich projects that the Eclipse
community is developing. The workshop will illustrate the
functionality of selected Eclipse projects and capabilities. 1/2

T2. Open Community Tools:
An Open Stack Development Platform

This workshop will
focus on an Open software development stack using Open Source
software and the Open Community tools from IBM. These tools combine
to create an effective no-cost development environment. The Open SuSe 10.1
development environment will be used as the base operating system.

and Construction using the IBM Rational Software Delivery Platform
(Sun-8AM, Sun-1PM,
Mon-8AM, Tue-8AM)
This workshop will
demonstrate the latest version of the IBM Rational Software
Development tools, their broad range of functionality and their use
throughout the entire software development process, focusing on
application modeling, design, development, coding, and testing. 1/2

T4. Effective software
testing: tools and strategies for project success

This workshop will
focus on end-to-end quality in the software development process.
People attending this workshop will go through several hands-on
exercises showing the collaboration between different team members
in the development lifecycle and how Eclipse and the Ration Software
Delivery platform facilitates this collaboration. 1/2 day
T5. Change and
Release Management
(Mon-8AM, Tue-1PM)
The focus of software
configuration management has historically been on managing changes
to software assets during the development phase of your project. In
today's environment things are different. After your development
phase is complete, you need to move your software artifacts from
your software configuration environment to your test environment,
and ultimately to your production environment. This workshop will
focus on the steps involved in changing the application, building
the application and deploying the application. 1/2 day
